Another Song
Coping with blindness in later life can be quite profound Joan’s resilience formed from her background and enviroment helped her enormously
However she was often taken by surprise when total strangers would come to her aide and ask if they could help, small gestures like guiding her across a busy road to a kind word softly spoken or help with day to day chores while out shopping.
What surprised her the most was the type of individual and usually in her best scouse not very politically correct explanation “its always the ones you least expect the ones you would normally steer clear of – bikers with tattoos, builders, workmen their image is a hard image but their kindness showed no bounds” in that act of kindness big or small they were all as she put it “Angels for a moment” to Joan who had a very fond admiration for these guys.
Thats the story behind the lyrics but what we dont have is a melody/tune to hang them on and thats were we would like your help!!
Can you help?
An opportunity for you
We would love to hear from you if you have a talent and one that we can showcase – simply put your tune together with the Angel for a moment lyrics and send it in.
The one that really captures the feeling and emotion best whether its an acoustic Piano choir etc etc we will look to have you record properly in a studio and do our very best to promote it.
The aim would be to highlight difficulties coping with blindness and encourage people to make a donation and support RNIB Royal National Institute for the Blind.
Thank you

Angel for a moment
What goes by day to day
Judgments made based on looks
But what’s behind the person, it doesn’t matter There’s an angel they’re just waiting for the moment
It’s that moment, those precious few seconds It’s that moment, something from within
It’s that moment, that’s always been
It’s that moment, it’s that angel
A kindness shown, a helping hand, that half smile Turn the hardest moments thro life
A friend a stranger you’ve met or known
In an instant will be there for you
It’s that moment, no judge of class It’s that moment, no need for money It’s that moment, that’s always been It’s that moment, it’s that angel
How does it happen who decides where You judge on looks not on the day
Maybe we should be alone with ourselves And choose our time, but no it’s that angel
It’s that moment, you don’t know why
It’s that moment, there’s no second thoughts It’s that moment, it’s there within you
It’s that moment, it’s that angel
Just waiting to help just waiting just waiting
Oh please release my angel
No time to think no time to say
Your lost in time, your lost in this chance meeting It happens in an instant, no thought
There’s an angel just waiting for a moment
